Leads & projects
A kanban pipeline and lead import bring inquiries in from wherever they start, with every project tracking its own compliance status.
Software case study · Construction & contracting
An internal CRM and compliance center for a general contractor — built so leads, projects, subcontractor insurance, estimates, scheduling, and invoicing all live in one place, and an audit never means searching email and folders.
The problem
A licensed general contractor is audited on a recurring basis and has to produce organized subcontractor insurance records on demand. Before Vertical Ops, that meant answering questions like which subcontractors are compliant right now, and which certificates expire soon, by searching email threads and shared folders — with leads, estimates, and scheduling scattered the same way. The public website could generate leads, but nothing behind it ran the operation.
Why it's built this way
One insurance certificate can carry general liability, workers' comp, and auto coverage — each with its own carrier and its own renewal date. Vertical Ops tracks each of those as its own record, so a single "expires soon" flag never hides a coverage gap. Renewals never overwrite history, either — the compliance register keeps the full trail, so a subcontractor's record can be reconstructed at any point, not just as of today.
A kanban pipeline and lead import bring inquiries in from wherever they start, with every project tracking its own compliance status.
Every subcontractor's coverage is tracked certificate by certificate, with expirations surfaced well before they become a problem.
AI-assisted estimate drafting against a real pricebook, plus Gantt-style scheduling to keep projects moving on a visible timeline.
Every action is captured in an activity log, and a full audit package exports as one organized ZIP — no manual document hunting.
Built with limits, on purpose
Estimating is AI-assisted, not AI-decided: every line item the assistant drafts has to map back to an actual pricebook entry or it gets flagged for review. The system is built to speed up the estimator's work, not to quietly set numbers a contractor didn't approve.
This is what separates a lead-gen website from an operational system: the same platform that brings in leads now runs compliance tracking, estimating, scheduling, and invoicing — with the public marketing site preserved and running alongside it, not replaced by it.
Whether it's a website, a CRM, or both — tell Wavy Sites the objective and the business problem, and the build starts from there.
